Bailey Bernstein Car Accident: A 20-year-old Wahpeton woman who was fatally hurt in a horrific hit-and-run accident on Thursday has passed away. Bailey Bernstein has been named as the victim.
The daughter of Jon and Christy Bernstein, Bailey Bernstein, reportedly died as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Wahpeton.
What happened to Bailey Bernstein?
The incident caused 20-year-old Wahpeton resident Bailey Bernstein to be flung into the ditch. She was brought to a hospital in Breckenridge for treatment of her life-threatening wounds before being transported by Life Flight to Fargo Sanford. After the accident, she was later declared dead.
Using information from the other pedestrians and local surveillance footage, Wahpeton Police were able to describe Olson’s vehicle. They located his vehicle at a Wahpeton residence after receiving a tip from the public, and Olson was close.
Olson was charged with advanced DUI, criminal vehicular injury, and fleeing the scene of an injury crash. Both accusations are felonies.
