Charles (CJ) Griffith Obituary, Death – Charles Joseph (CJ) Griffith’s, a beloved soul, left this world unexpectedly on December 13, 2023, at the age of 57. Born on August 11, 1966, in Hager City, Wisconsin, to Edward and Janice Griffith’s, CJ’s life journey was marked by love, generosity, and a deep connection to nature. CJ’s formative years were spent in Lindsborg, Kansas, where he graduated from Lindsborg High School in 1985, actively engaging in both sports and theater. His passion for the arts continued as he pursued higher education at Hutchinson Community College, graduating in 1987. CJ later became a long-time resident of Rifle, Colorado, returning to Kansas in 2015.

A family man at heart, CJ was a devoted son, brother, father, and grandfather. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Edward Lee Griffith’s, CJ is survived by his son Gavin Griffith’s, wife Niccole, and grandchildren Korben and Ryker of Phoenix, Arizona. His memory lives on through his siblings Cynthia Akagi, Christina Campbell, Carla Wilson, Corey Griffith’s, and numerous nieces and nephews.

CJ’s zest for life was evident in his love for the outdoors—mountains, hunting, fishing, and trapping brought him immense joy. He cherished the tranquility nature offered and shared that love unconditionally with family and friends. Known for his selfless generosity, CJ always extended a helping hand to those in need. An enthusiast of the Performing Arts, CJ played a significant role in every theater production during his high school years, leaving an indelible mark on the Lindsborg High School community. To honor his passion, the family requests memorials to be directed to the Smoky Valley High School Theater Department.

Contributions can be made by sending checks payable to USD Smoky Valley Public Schools, with the memo reading “SVHS Theater,” mailed to 126 S Main, Lindsborg, KS 67546. A celebration of CJ’s life will be announced at a later date. His memory is cherished for the wonderful, kind, and playful spirit he brought into the world. In the words of his family, the world needs more people like CJ—individuals who embody the essence of love and generosity.
