JaMychal Green is an American professional basketball player who last featured for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has also played for the Grizzlies, Clippers, and Nuggets.
Green began his career in the G League (then D-League) and overseas before signing his first NBA contract with the Spurs in 2015.
Green was born on June 21, 1990 in Montgomery, Alabama, U.S. to parents Alonzo Green and Rita Green.
Green grew up in a big family with twelve siblings on his mother’s side and eight on his father’s side. Green has not revealed much information about his parents.
After going undrafted in the 2012 NBA draft, Green joined the San Antonio Spurs for the 2012 NBA Summer League and on October 22, 2012, he signed with the Spurs, but was later waived by the team on October 26.
On November 1 of the same year, he was acquired by the Austin Toros of the NBA Development League as an affiliate player of San Antonio.
In 44 games for the Toros in 2012–13, he averaged 12.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
