WWE Superstar Liv Morgan didn't want to see one of her fans walk away from Friday's SmackDown show an emotional mess following her loss to Rhea Ripley. While Morgan knows it's just a show, for one young lady, the loss felt a bit too real and after tapping out to Rhea Ripley, the fan broke into tears. Hearing about the fan, Morgan not only found her during the show to make her feel better, but invited her backstage where the two shared a touching and emotional moment.
Fans and cameras caught a young girl crying in the crowd following Morgan's loss and it triggered the heel Ripley to play to her character perfectly as she blew a kiss at the dejected fan, who then got even more emotional. Ripley has since changed her profile photo to an image of the crying girl and really played it up, retweeting video footage and having fun with the idea that she emotionally crushed this 10-year-old because she destroyed her in-ring idol. Many fans are making comparisons of the video footage to The Miz girl who was so angry after his big win years ago.
Morgan then brought the young fan backstage and shared a big hug with her. She said she couldn't just leave her out there when she was so sad and asked her how old she was. When she said 10, Morgan said that in eight years the two could be tag team partners and that she would wrestle long enough to make sure they had a chance to team up together one day. "In eight more years you can be my tag team partner," Morgan told the fan. "I'm going to wait for you, okay? I'm going to make sure I still wrestle, so we can become new tag team champions in eight years!"
Nice Birthday Present For Julie
The young girl's name was Julie and it happened to be her birthday. It started out rough watching Morgan lose, but by the end of the evening, it certainly turned into something special as the fan got to meet an idol and was given a moment she'll remember for the rest of her life.
One has to wonder if this interaction will spark Julie's love of wrestling to the point she decides she one day wants to become a wrestler, eventually seeing if she can take Liv up on her offer.
